Starting play
Gameplay moves clockwise, starting with the dealer.
On your turn, discard a card that matches the theme or color of the top card in the discard pile. Or you can play a Wild Card or a Sweepstakes card if you have one!
If you don’t have a suitable card, pick the top card from the draw pile.
If the card you just picked matches the theme or color, you may immediately discard it to the top of the draw pile. If not, keep the card, and your turn ends.
The goal of Ace of Change is to be the first player to discard all of your cards.
Theme Cards
There are four themes: Agility (blue), Flexibility (yellow), Curiosity (green), and Resilience (purple).
When you play a Theme Card, read the prompt on the card aloud and answer it. The group may discuss the prompt together if they choose.
When you play a 'Discuss...' card, the group engages in a discussion or debate based on the prompt. 'Fun Zone!' cards have fun activities for the group to do together.
'Discuss...' and 'Fun Zone!' cards are not numbered, but they can be matched and played based on color.
